House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) can't get members of her own caucus to vote for Iraq war supplemental bill. So she is getting tough. She is now threatening funding for districts and seats on powerful committees. According to a story in The Hill, "It’s tough to get 218 votes, so Speaker gets tough, too", Pelosi is being specifically tougher on members of the Appropriations Committee and California.
If this is any sign of the House is run, it is going to be a long two years.
Hopefully, Americans and Congress will see how bad Pelosi and the Democrats are and bring in a new Congress again.
