Schools ponder showing Obama speech to students – The Denver Post.
This is the most ridiculous thing that I have heard of or read.
Regardless of your political stance, this is a speech challenging children to do well at school. Barack Obama is the President!
Most of the school children need this challenge and hearing it from the President would be a good thing.
Wise up parents and schools. Let the children see this.
Update: It looks like the concern is the lesson plan that the U.S. Department of Education issued to schools following the announcement. I personally don’t see a need for a lesson plan. It is just the President speaking which I think that all of us should listen too.
I find this funny that President George H. W. Bush did this in 1991 and the Democrats reacted the same way. Now the shoe is on the other foot.
